Pros

  • Impressive writing and production
  • Strong album
  • Electronic and world touch

Cons

  • May need several listenings before enjoying

Released in 2001, after the international recognition of Tarkan and the hit Simarik, the album Karma enjoyed great success. The main single Kuzu Kuzu is superb turkish pop with latin influences, catchy for beginning to end. Ask and Ay are good soft pop songs while Uzak and Hüp are effective dance tracks while the latter is really impressively written by Nazan Oncel. Most of the the songs are composed and written by Tarkan, Yandim and Verme standing out with sad and slow melody, and soft electronic world touch.

O’na Sor and Gitti Gideli show the interesting and powerful voice of the star, TaS and Sen BaSkasìn are strong pop numbers. All the songs involve multi instruments, as Saz, Guitars, Violins or percussions.

A must for Tarkan fans, and a strong introduction to turkish pop, as Tarkan is the leader of this sound.
